Description
More specifically, for CU360-1400A, 2001 and later 90229-1 was installed in the side of the pressure vessel and was optional as part of the AUX Low Water Cutout required in some local codes (optional).
In 2003, beginning with serial number "AX" 90229 was installed at the top of the generator (standard) and 90229-1 was still installed in the side of the pressure vessel and was optional as part of the AUX Low Water Cutout required in some local codes (optional).
In 2010, 90229-1 began to be installed at the top of the generator
For CU2000 and up, 90229-1 was installed in the side of the pressure vessel (optional) until 2019 when it became standard.
For replacement - for any CU generator:
- with a side probe for AUX LWCO should use 90229-1
- with a top probe for AUX LWCO should use 90229 spark plug and 99807B (9" rod)
- with a top probe for high water cut-off should use 90229-1
